Torea, Ethiopia
Experience the quintessential taste of exceptional Ethiopian coffee. Sourced from the meticulous Tore washing station in the heart of the world-renowned Yirgacheffe region, this Grade 1 natural-process coffee is a vibrant, sweet, and beautifully complex cup that showcases the very best of classic heirloom varieties.
This natural process lot delivers a stunningly aromatic and sweet experience. Expect a sophisticated fusion of cocoa and warm clove, beautifully lifted by delicate dried jasmine florals. A refined, winey acidity ties the cup together, leaving a lingering, mild fruit-like sweetness that will have you reaching for a second cup.
This lot utilizes the traditional natural process. After being hand-picked at peak ripeness, the coffee cherries are brought to the Tore washing station where they are spread out across raised drying beds. By drying the coffee inside the fruit, the beans absorb the natural sugars and organic compounds of the cherry, resulting in an incredibly sweet, complex, and winey cup profile.
