Drip Batch Technivorm Recipe

At Conscious Cup, the Technivorm is our go-to office coffee pot. We make a fresh batch every morning to get the whole warehouse crew going. Below is a guide to brewing a delicious drip batch of coffee using the Technivorm, with measurements tailored to the volume markers on the machine for a balanced and flavorful brew.

What you'll need

  • Technivorm coffee maker
  • Paper filter
  • Grinder
  • Scale
  • Clean spring or filtered water (500 mL, 750 mL, 1 L, or 1.25 L)
  • Conscious Cup Coffee (31g, 47g, 62.5g, or 78g)

Directions

  1. Begin by ensuring your Technivorm coffee maker is clean and ready for use.
  2. Weigh out the appropriate amount of coffee based on your desired volume: For 500 mL of water, use 31 grams of coffee. For 750 mL of water, use 47 grams of coffee. For 1 L of water, use 62.5 grams of coffee. For 1.25 L of water, use 78 grams of coffee.
  3. Grind the coffee to a medium-coarse consistency. The grind size should be similar to sea salt.
  4. Fill the Technivorm water reservoir with the corresponding amount of clean spring or filtered water based on your coffee dose.
  5. Place a paper filter in the brew basket and rinse it with hot water to remove any paper taste and preheat the basket. Discard the rinse water.
  6. Add the ground coffee to the filter, ensuring an even bed of coffee.
  7. Select the middle flow rate on the cone. This will slow down the brew and help to extract more flavor and viscosity.
  8. Start the brewing process by turning on the Technivorm. The machine will begin heating the water and dripping it over the coffee grounds.
  9. Allow the Technivorm to complete its brew cycle, which typically takes about 5-6 minutes.
  10. Once the brewing is finished, stir the coffee in the carafe to ensure even extraction and a consistent flavor.
  11. Pour the coffee into mugs and enjoy the rich, balanced flavor that will energize your whole team.
